3, Liangjiang brand Heavy magnesium carbonate manufacture process:
Manufacture process of MgCO3, is different based on different route of raw materials. The process is divided into bittern-sodium carbonate method and magnesia double decomposition method.
1. bittern-sodium carbonate method: Firstly, make pretreatment of bittern and sodium carbonate solution, precipitin reaction, filtration, dehydration, dry, smash and other process to get medical magnesium carbonate.
2. magnesia double decomposition method: take advantage of ammonium sulfate and magnesia to make double decomposition, get magnesium sulfate solution. And then get carbonizing ammonium hydroxide from recycled ammonia, mix it with magnesium sulfate solution to get basic magnesium carbonate. Through filtration, dehydration, dry, smash and other process to get medical magnesium carbonate.
According to different applications of magnesium carbonate, it can be divided into industry grade MgCO3, food grade MgCO3, medical grade MgCO3, transparent MgCO3, electrical grade MgCO3, bulk MgCO3 and aciculiform MgCO3 etc.
Light magnesium carbonate is widely used in many fields. In pigments, paints and printing ink industries, MgCO3 can be used to produce high purity magnesium compound. MgCO3 also be used in fireproofing, extinguishant, floor and insulating material industries. In plastic and rubber industries, MgCO3 is used as filler and smoke inhibitor. In addition, in glass, ceramics and chemical medicine producing, MgCO3 also can be used in little. CPU grade MgCO3 can be used as salt additive, antacid in toothpaste and biscuits.

Food grade magnesium carbonate mainly used for flour ameliorant. In formula of flour ameliorant, magnesium carbonate is very important auxiliary parts. It’s mainly is to improve dispersibility and mobility. MgCO3 content in flour ameliorant is about 10%-15%. In order to get better mobility, MgO content should be about 40% - 43%, moisture should be less than 1%, specific volume should around 1.4-2.5 ml/g. In addition, it is also used in food, cosmetic and medical industries.
Electronic grade magnesium carbonate is used as materials for electronic components. Besides, it is also main material for producing high purity MgO, printing ink, fine ceramics, medicine, cosmetics, toothpaster, advanced pigments etc. It has the highest additional value when used in electronic materials.
Transparent light magnesium carbonate mainly used as filler and fortifier in transparent or light-colored rubber products. It almost no change for rubber’s refractive index, but can enhance abrasive resistance, resistance curve and strength of extension. It also can be used as filler in paint, ink and coatings, toothpaste, medicine and cosmetics.
Aciculiform magnesium carbonate, mainly used as filler and fortifier in rubber. Easily to combine with rubber because of its aciculiform crystal. It has similar refractive index with rubber if well controlled its ratio of particle size and length. It can enhance abrasive resistance, resistance curve and strength of extension. It also can be used as filler in paint, ink and coatings, toothpaste, medicine and cosmetics.
Bulk magnesium carbonate is same with light grade magnesium carbonate, the difference is only form. It only can be used for athlete to keep hand dry.
